Give An Old Brick Mold A Farmhouse Makeover Using Transfers

There are plenty of options here! You could add sayings, flowers, make it more masculine with a stemapunk style. Redesign With Prima offers dozens and dozens of different transfers, all of which can be cut up into smaller pieces and used for multiple projects.

After cleaning up your brick mold, cut your transfer pieces to fit.

Remove the white backing and hover over the area until you have it where you want. Then press it down onto the surface.

Transfers are extremely sticky and once they touch a surface, they can not be moved. So be careful while handling it 😁

Using either the wooden stick included with your transfer or the transfer tool, press down over the entire transfer so that it adheres to the wood surface.

Slowly remove the clear protective layer. If at any time, part of the teansfer didn't adhere to the surface, just lay the clear protective cover back down and press over it again until it does adhere.

Continue this process until you have applied each piece of transfer

Once your transfers are applied, you want to seal it. I use Frenchic wax for my decor pieces. It is oh so creamy and leaves the most beautiful natural sheen 😍 My favorite part, I don't even have to buff it!

Using a car wax sponge, apply just a small bit of clear wax to the box. I did seal the entire piece, not just over the transfers. This helped to really bring out the color and wood grain.

I wanted to add a bit of blue and green patina to the already natural rusty patina on the iron pieces, so I grabbed a variety of Prima and Art Alchemy waxes. Using my finger, I applied just a touch of each color to random places on the metal. Then I wiped away any excess with a paper towel.

I also removed just a bit of the cooper that I applied a little too heavy with some mineral spirits. It takes off any wax super easily

I wanted to add some pulls to the sides, so I went rummaging through my collection of old hardware and found these drop pulls from a dresser I had refinished a couple of years ago. The dresser had sat under a covered porch a block from the ocean, so these pulls have that salt air patina, perfect for this project!

Drill out your holes and then install the pulls...easy peasy 😁

You now have a stunning wooden box that is truly unique and can he used in many ways!

Add your favorite decor pieces🗿

Or you could add fairy lights filled Mason jars

Add some greenery or flowers

And since it's fall, maybe add pumpkins, pinecones and fall leaves! 🍂🎃🍁

For Christmas, add ornaments, small trees, maybe even a snowman decoration ☃️

Add easter eggs for Easter!

Add little feet to the corners for an elegant touch 👣

Put picture hanging hardware on the back and hang it on the wall..it can act as a shelf and a unique decor piece 🔨

Put it in the bathroom with candles and q-tips.

Or at the entryway to hold mail and keys
