Glass Etching Turns Old Bottles Into Something Beautiful

I enjoy taking something that no longer has use and making it into “something else”. Old glass bottles, a little acid etching cream, and that “something else” can end up attractive.
I cut a pattern from contact paper and apply to the glass bottle.
Then I cover the bottle in etching cream.
I added a pump so that this bottle is now a soap dispenser.
Here's a wine bottle that I use to water plants.

I@Susan @learning and yearning Is this clear contact paper that you used? And do you just leave it on? I'm interested in doing this but not sure exactly how to go about it.
