!! I've aways wanted a gold leaf pineapple pillow so I decided to try and make one. The first thing I did was create a printable..you can get it free here.
!! I've aways wanted a gold leaf pineapple pillow so I decided to try and make one. The first thing I did was create a printable..you can get it free here. 
Then I cut it out and traced the pineapples in an even pattern on my piece of fabric.
with my gilding I filled in the pineapples.. Then I started foiling it and this was the most rewarding part. I love gold leafing things. I'd gold leaf everything if I could. 
Then I constructed all my pieces and that's it. Easy right ? Oh and believe it or not the Gold leaf actually held up pretty well so far. I am very pleased with the durability. I was worried it would fly off in a week considering my little guy likes to mess around with my throw pillows everyday. 
After two months no chunks flying off. Yey!!
