These bubble vases are everywhere. If you want one without paying the hefty price tag that comes along with it the here is an EASY DIY Dupe

For this project you'll need the following:

Bag of styrofoam balls

Empty tin can

Baking soda

Paint (color of your choosing)

Glue gun

Bowl (for mixing)

First:

Start by cutting the small styrofoam balls in half.

If they aren't perfectly in half that is okay

Second:

Get any empty container I've used an empty tin can and glue the styrofoam halves on to the can.

tip: stick them as close together as possible

Cover all around and it should look something like this. The size of balls is totally up to you. The number of rows will vary with size.

Next:

Pick a paint color you like and add baking soda to it for faux ceramic finish.

Mix the baking powder with paint.

Paint all over. You might need a few coats depending on your choice of paint color and the type of paint your are using.

And voila you have your own bubble vase at practically no cost :)

Love this. What size balls did you use for your container? Also, could one use spray paint instead of hand painting? One of the most clever ideas I’ve seen on Hometalk.

Love it! My only question is could you paint the can first then glue the balls?

I tried to make this but I'm having a hard time cutting the styrofoam balls. They dont look close to the same size after cutting at all. Is there a specific knife you use?

You can also make this with a Dollar Tree cylinder vase if you’d like it to be taller. And use different size “balls.” Love this project!
