Easy
I have finally taken the time to learn how to cut a screw and it is so easy!
I have a big bedroom set that has almost done. The new hardware had the usual two sizes to choose from. The original and short screws in the new pack are too short. The long screws in the new pack are too long. So I went to the know all Google and started searching for info on how to cut a screw. It is so easy.

All you need is:

Electrical Pliers

Screw Driver
Thats it!

To cut a screw you find the coordinating size hole and open pliers so the the holes align. Most hardware screws are 8-32.
Screw in to the desired length.
When you have it at the correct length, squeeze the pliers closed. This part is hard and takes quite a bit of effort. Closing them clips off the unwanted length. Then you are done.
Now all of those old and extra screws don't have to go to waste. They can be cut to a customize length and will be used on future projects.
