How to Decoupage a Box

I’ve had this round box for ages.My sister had given it to me for my birthday with some gifts in it . So I decided to do some work on it.Decoupage is a wonderful tool to transform any object into a work of art. Anyone can do it,including children.Any paper can be used for Decoupage,including wrapping paper,napkins,images from greeting cards etc.I have a collection of these papers.Im Useing a cutout from a magazine.
Materials Needed.
1)Box that I had
2)Mod podge
3)Images
4)Scissors
5) Paint brush
6)Acrylic paints ( your choice of colours
Instructions for Decoupage Box
1)Paint your box with acrylic paint and allow to dry.Apply two coats.
2) Cut out your design. The thinner the paper the better.Use sharp scissors.
3)Apply The Mod Podge glue to the base of the Decoupage box.It works best if you Apply this to the base.Then carefully lay your design down on the glue.Push down on the design ,working from the middle out to the edges to release air bubbles.
4) When the design is applied to the top of the box..brush the entire box with the Mod Podge to seal.This dries clear.
5)Apply a few coats
