I remember as a little girl my parents had old antique furniture.I remember the coffee table and the credenza which was a china cabinet and mum used to put her expensive china in the cabinet. But when we moved she got rid of everything.I still ask her til this day why she got rid of it all.When I go to the antique store I look around and there’s some lovely things there but very expensive.So today I’m going to make a new frame look old.I only bought the frame for $5 it was reduced price.The colour of the frame is black
Materials you’ll need for your frame
1)Picture frame
2)Paint colour,I chose white
3)Paintbrush
4)Papertowel
5)Newspaper
How to distress your frame
1)Remove glass from your frame
2)Lay the frame to be painted on newspaper or other paper
3)Useing a brush apply a thin layer of paint on the frame.Cover entire area.
4)Before it dries completely, use a paper towel and rub off some of the edges and corners for a worn appearance.
5)I added a second coat of paint,I wanted the dark black to show through the white more.
6)Do the same again,rub with paper towel over the edges and corners and parts of frame.
7)Dry completely before adding photo ,glass and backing
Very easy to do. Happy crafting
