How To Make A No-Sew Fleece Blankie

This holiday season I decided that I wanted to make a bunch of no-sew fleece blankets however I wanted them to have a new look so this blog tutorial not only shows you how to make the fleece blanket which involves no sewing whatsoever but it also includes how tie a fancy knot around all of the sides to have that professional look and it really sets your no-sew blanket apart from the rest.
Unfortunately making a new sew blanket is not as simple as just lining up the fabric there is a lot of squaring off involved and you need to cut your 6" X 6" square off of each corner.
The T-frame ruler really keeps things on track for spacing issues because it is easy to get off track with the spacing.
On average a blanket takes me about 4 hours but that is because I am easily distracted someone who is more diligent could do it in 2 to 3 hours. I usually can make 2 in one day.
I am making my son a camouflage blanket where it is snow camouflage on one side and the pine woods on the other.
Please feel free to ask me any questions at all. I am so excited about this project and hope you enjoy it too!
This is a close up on how the fancy knots or ties look when you are done!
I made these gift tags for all of our blankets we are giving out as gifts this holiday season I have a blog post coming soon on how to make these!
This is how the blanket looks layed out on the table but they are actually really big and comfy.
Have your tools ready I used a T Frame Ruler, A Traditional Ruler and a must have is a very good heavy duty pair of scissors.

What a nice looking project. I am going to try it with the expectations that a true dyslexic can do the knots. Thank you again.
  • Patt crafts don't come naturally too I have always had to take my time and work at them so I felt confident others could pick this up please share your experience with me I would love to hear about it :)
