Add texture to tin can basket with these beautiful stencils that Amazon reviewers swear by!

I so love can projects. HERE are some flowers I made out of soda can. Make sure to check those . There are sooo many things you can do with those.

Let’s make crush can hanging basket!

As you can see I have my big tomato puree can ready. Its my favorite size but any size can do. I like to form my can a bit so its time to go to work!

Time to work on a shape of our planter and remove bottom portion too with can opener and just like that I have a tube now but I am not done !

Just becasue I alread made one kind of planters out of can. You can read more about HERE I decided to go a different route this time

For those cans I decided to put some pressure on the bottom of my can and press it together. It is so easy according to Magda but I know it is .. I have done that before

Love its shape but my goal was to bring those edges as close as I could together. You could clamp them but who has those tools ? Not me, at least not any close to me. So I decided to push sides of it a bit closer

I so love this aluminum can craft! Another recycled project

Time to decorate our aluminum can craft

I am so going to experiment here with all that is around me. I wanted to cover some parts of my can with book pages that I was using to make roses. So I gathered my Mod Podge and started to apply. As I was working on it I decided to add some Mod Podge all around and maybe add some crackle effect around my project

Mod Podge is also a good material to make home made crackle. You can find out more details about crackling technique HERE

As you can see I didn’t add book pages all over because I am trying to show some other textures aluminum included

So I painted lightly my Mod Podge and book pages with chalk paint and fried it well to reveal awesome tiny crackle on my can

and now its time to experiment with with some toys I love to play around. One of them is stencils and embossing . Make sure to check video about that technique below on my YouTube channel HERE

Decided to use embossing with texture on side and simple stencils on the other. So love how distressed it looks now. Love this aluminum can craft so much HERE

Little action with dark and clear wax and some rub and buff and I think my planter starting to look awesome.

Let’s turn my aluminum can craft into hanging planter

Time to get some floral wire out and bend its ends at the end to create nice detail there too. Just because my wire was silver I decided to add some rub and buff to it to keep color coordinated

As you can see I left some stright edge on my wire to be able to install inside a recycled can. You could drill the hole in it but I wanted to use E600 with some hot glue to set all together. I made sure to place my end of wire inside the can.

How cool is that. Can basket or a purse is done! Love everything about this recycled project. Perfect addition to any tiered tray or wall decor.

Time to make some flowers or fill it with succulents ! Love it !

how cool purse that is !! I so need to look for giant aluminum cans to make planters! Love its feel

How about my paper flower I made earlier in it ? Love it !

I have already tried the smashed can project after I saw a video of someone making it on Facebook. I wonder about rust. Do you just let it be? Also, how can I make the big flower you used? Your's turned out beautifully!
