I have been buying these OUI by yoplait yogurt for quite some time. Not only are they delicious but their packaging makes them more appealing. Tiny little glass jars and being the thrifty & crafty gal that I am, I decided to start saving them up for a easy DIY upcycle.

With paint I had at home & some painters tape... I made these babies into cute and useful additions to my FALL decor. Yes, I said fall and yes it is only August...

step 1: Clean and remove stickers

These stickers peeled off rather easy, I then soaked them in warm bubbly water and scrubbed using a scrubby.

After they dried, I used a little bit of goo gone to remove any leftover sticky residue.

step 2: Tape the Jars

Using the frog tape, decide on a design you'd like. For this Jar, I decided to just tape the bottom portion and leave the top open. I did a heavy coat on the top outside and then some overspray got into the inside of the jar which gave it a pretty cool amber effect.

My other jar, I decided to just paint the entire jar without any tape.

step 2 part 2: Find more glass to spray paint (LOL)

I also found this glass BBQ sauce jar in my recycling and decided to do some crazy angled lines with the tape on this one. Just wait til you see the finished product!!

step 3: Paint

Using the spray paint of your choice, do a few light coats to allow it to build up without any drips. This paint comes out very very runny so less is more.

step 4: peel your tape

After you have done a few coats but before it is overly dry, peel your tape off carefully.

If you catch it in time, you can scratch off any spots where the paint may have bled through the tap. I only had one light spot where this occurred and i used a flat screwdriver and gently scraped it off.

step 5: style and enjoy

Once dried, add a votive, greenery or any other element and incorporate these cheap and re-usable pieces. I am planning to utilize these for my fall decor and even transition them into Christmas time. I think I may continue to save these jars up and use them for my wedding! We buy the yogurt almost weekly as it is.

Fun fact: you can buy lids to these jars directly from the oui by yoplait website! Which they could then be used as spice jars!
