How to Weather Wood
With this easy technique you can make any new piece of wood look reclaimed and weathered!
Use steel wool to sand your wood to achieve that weathered look
This is a great alternative if you can't find or prefer not to use reclaimed wood!
You start with a dark stain, dry brush white paint, sand it down with steel wool, and apply my DIY wood Stain on top.

Do you have to use your stain? Or can I use regular stain that I have laying around the house?

You don't have to use the same stain I did... it will alter the color though, but works with anything : )
