Helloooo Hometalkersicon I hope everyone is doing great and had a terrific holiday!

I have been promised our bathroom will be finished before the end of the month so I have been making some stuff for that room, just some little things. Those little projects are like instant gratification for me! Something that only takes about an hour or so and leaves an impression, I like thaticon ! I did four easy things for the new bathroom in about 3 hours total! The first one is ...

1) Transparent blue votive candle holders!
They were just plain clear glass.icon
They will be a nice addition to the bathroomicon ! Just spray paint and dry!
Love instant gratification!
This is a frame I have outside on my porch. I did the transparent blue on the glass here tooicon ! I did the frame a few months ago.
2) I painted a wood basket white with rope handles.
3) I built a small shelf from the scrap wood pile and painted it white. Both took less than an hour to make.

4) A simple picture frame with glass.
I traced a picture onto the glass using white glue tinted with black acrylic paint.

After I let it dry for about an hour I scored off excess glue/paint for sharper lines with a very sharp knife. This technique is used to make faux stained glass pictures!icon

The picture I used and the glass after scoring. Now onto painting !

I used white, yellow, blue, black and a few drops of holly green. I mixed the blue and yellow together to make a green but it wasn't the green I was looking for so I added a few drops of holly green to get the color I wanted for this picture.icon Cost for glue $1.23, the transparent spray paint and small acrylic paints I won recently in a sweepstakes! I won all kinds of different paints, brushes, markers and more! This is just a few and you will see a big project soon I hope with some of the other stuff I wonicon

I painted the frame white to go with the other things I had already painted. Besides white just looks beachy/coastal!
This is the back of the glass. This is the side you paint. You paint backwards with this technique . Highlights are first so they can be seen when you look at the other side of the glass. icon
The front of the glass.
The seaweed has highlights you can see here.

I added some rope with hot glue and I love it! Now I have four new things to add to the bathroom when it's ready to decorateicon !

The bottle I did a couple of months ago when I was doing some other bottles with beads. It is one piece of rope wrapped around the bottle and glued at the top, a cork with shells glued on to finish it off!
Adding the bottle makes 5 new things for the bathroom!
All of this took about 3-4 hours to make! Like I said, instant gratificationicon !!
I can't wait for the new bathroom!!!icon

I'm still purging my craft material and trying not to spend any money! I have spent around $10 icon for all of my projects I have posted on hometalk thus far and I have posted a bunch of stuff!
Love all comments!!! Thanks for looking!!!

Thanks Hillela! Sometimes all it takes is a little paint to make new things and an afternoon.
