Kool-Aid Dyed Yarn & Recycled Plant Pot

by Organized 31
Who knew you could dye yarn with Kool-Aid? It's a fun almost-science-experiment craft to make yourself or with the kiddos.
Dying yarn with Kool-Aid creates amazingly vivid colors that are perfect for many different crafts.
You'll need wool or alpaca yarn and Kool-Aid without sugar.
Simmer the yarn in a pot with water and the Kool-Aid powder. It takes less than 30 minutes to go from white yarn in a pot of colored waters to...
... vividly dyed yarn. The dye process is almost like magic as you watch the yarn absorb the Kool-Aid dye. You can create ombre dyed yarn or mix Kool-Aid colors to create your own unique dye colors.
The dyed yarn can be used in a variety of crafts, like creating plant pots from recycled plastic containers.

My sisters use to dye their hair with koolaid, that may be why they have bad hair today.

@Sherry Shoup Only a sister is allowed to say that about a sister's hair. :)

Not all yarn will take the dye readily. 100% natural fibers are probably best.

@Ellen Talbot You're right. You have to use natural fibers for even and predictable absorption of the dye.
