I used the same technique that I did when I did the Lacy Table, but this time I used it on a Dollar Tree vase. I love the delicate, feminine, Shabby Chic look of it! This would also work for Wedding Centerpieces.
Total cost: $1.00 for the vase, and $4.00 for the paint if you don't already have it on hand.
My finished Lace Vase. So feminine!
I started with Dollar Tree Glass Vases
A piece of lace to fit around the vase, some Loctite Spray Adhesive (It's repositionable) some spray paint (Krylon White & Rust-oleum Frost) and some scissors.
Spray the lace with the adhesive then apply to the vase. Spray the paint through the lace. Let dry, (that was the longest time needed for this project) then peel the lace off.
The one on the left is with the Krylon White Satin paint. The one on the right is with the frosted glass paint. I like the Krylon best. The frosted paint looks a little blurred to me.
The Lace Vase with the Lacy Table
I put some aqua glitter baby breath in the vase, and it looks so airy & feminine. I love the way it turned out! I might have to try this with some colored paint next.
Here it is being used for my Aqua & Iris Tablescape! Happy Creating everyone!

I’m having a bit of trouble with this. The first one I put paint on too heavy so I had some drips and the second one I had trouble peeling lace off after paint was dry. Also there were some spots that the paint didn’t get to.

Any tips? Could I use a sponge brush with some kind of paint? What kind?

I would so appreciate your feedback.

    thank you, Sharon
