LIBERTY Window Boxes for the July 4th Holiday

I have a few addictions, my friends. Chocolate. Tootie-fruity frozen berry and coconut adult beverages. House of Cards. And window boxes. I can't live in a house without them.
We live in a historic community with a lot of foot traffic. Our house is a corner lot. I know people come from all over just to wander our hood. So I always feel a little extra pressure to make the garden shine during summer months. My sweet Pops had made new window boxes for me and I decided they needed a little sizzle to celebration their arrival.
A few dowel rods cut to size. Some wooden letters from the craft store. Paint. Sealer spray. Liquid nails.
Simple project that adds great curb appeal!

Shelley on Jul 04, 2015Good suggestion. I think paint stir sticks (the smaller ones) would probably work. I've learned from using mine in window boxes for Memorial Day and now for July 4th that you need something that will hold up to a bit of pressure. I tend to pack the flowers pretty tightly in my boxes so it takes a bit of effort to get these down in to the dirt! Wouldn't want anything too thin that might snap.
