Hello! Today I show you how to make a buffalo check mason jar with fabric. Use any fabric pattern that you like to go with your decor. I’ve definitely been crushing on navy and white buffalo check and had a small amount of fabric left. It was the perfect amount to use for this mason jar. Let me show you how!

SUPPLIES
  • Mason Jars-You can find mason jars at the Dollar Store or any craft store.
  • Hot Glue Gun-My absolute favorite is the Surebonder Cordless Glue Gun which you can find  here. If you craft a lot it is a game changer. The fact that it is cordless makes it so easy to use.
  • Buffalo Check Fabric Scraps-I found this navy and white at Joann Fabric.
  • Mod Podge
  • Chalk Ink-Midnight sky which you can find here.
  • Transfer-I used a cute little rooster which you can find  here.

INSTRUCTIONS:

First cut strips of fabric to fit the length of the mason jar. I ended up with about 20 strips measuring about 1/2″-1″ width. Next, dip each strip into mod podge and put them pattern side out in the jar. I used a small brush to flatten the fabric and smooth out any air bubbles.

The little rooster from Chalk Couture added a farmhouse touch that I am incorporating into my kitchen. For more crafty ideas please visit my blog linked below.
