Make Your Own Artwork With Pressed Leaves

Nature is a great place to look for Fall decorating inspiration. I love to bring in branches, bowls full of acorns and sprigs of cotton blossom to give my home a season feel. Plus, you can find many things in your own backyard to use as decor!
I'm going to show you how I made my own artwork using leaves found in my backyard.

First, I gathered up a bunch of leaves in a variety of sizes.

To press the leaves, place them between a folded sheet of wax paper and insert this inside the pages of heavy, hard-bound book. Leave them for a few days to get them good and flat.
To turn these pressed leaves into art, I gathered a few sheets of patterned scrapbook paper, loose book pages, and a bottle of Mod Podge.

Coat one side of each leaf in Mod Podge, then position onto the paper. Apply a top coat of Mod Podge to ensure the leaf is sealed to the paper.
Allow to fully dry before popping them into the frame of your choice.
You can create many different looks using layers of patterned paper, book pages, sheet music, whatever you may have on-hand!
