How to make no sew fabric coasters with mason jar lids and rings. This is an easy DIY project and a great way to reuse rings and lids from canning.

I used a hat from Dollar Tree to make my coasters, but you can upcycle an old sweater or use other fabric. You can also add felt or cork to the back to prevent scratches.

To make the coasters, you will need:

Start by cutting the hat. I cut mine into squares larger than the canning rings.

Then I set the canning ring on the fabric and cut to make the circle. Make sure the pattern is placed where you want it inside the ring.

Then place glue around ring to attach the lid.

Then place glue around the lid. Press the fabric in the ring. The glue is hot, so use your scissors or a pencil to press down on the fabric. You can also use these finger protectors to keep your fingers safe. Make sure it's flat and there aren't any bubbles.

You can add some thin cork or felt to the back if you want. If they get wet, let them dry between uses. You can paint the rings if you want to. I suggest using acrylic paint or chalk paint
