METAL LANTERN HACK

I’ve been slowly adding more of my own hacks and DIY decor to my deck area to create a relaxed boho coastal look.

This latest hack is transforming a black metal lantern-$10 from Kmart into a Boho Beaded Beauty.

Materials used - pack of beads, florist wire, pliers, white paint , metal lantern.

I used a pair of pliers to remove the metal handle and then painted the lantern white. I actually used left over paint from our house - you could also use a can of spray paint.

Next I threaded beads onto florist wire and tied the wire around the top and bottom of the lantern.

Florist wire is super easy to work with as you can bend and shape it anyway you like! It’s also easy to tie around the metal bars!

I then tied the beaded wire vertically along the bars in four evenly spaced places.

I have used a battery operated candle as it’s less messy and safer.

so many different ways to decorate a lantern with beads!

Get the Boho Look - anyone can do this!
