Mother’s Day Photo Box

This is such an awesome gift. I made this for my mom for Mother’s Day. My brother passed away when he was 16 in a serious car accident so this is very special. I hope she loves it!

You can display pictures all the way around it and also make a nice floral arrangement that can be changed throughout the year.

This could also be a lovely memorial box for anyone who lost someone special. It also would be a great Father's Day gift.

Let me show you how easy and inexpensive you can make this using Dollar Tree items once again!

What you need:

4 frames with clips

A sheet of paper

Glue gun and sticks

E6000

Pen or pencil

Wood or cardboard (for bottom)

Pictures and flowers to decorate

Set up your frames as a box and trace the bottom onto your sheet of paper.

Next, place one of the frames on the inside of the outline and trace all the way around. This will make the inside dimension for our bottom so we know how big to cut our wood or cardboard insert.

It should look like this.

Now cut out the inside box that you drew.

This will be the template to make the bottom cover which you can make out of wood or cardboard. Just use whatever you have on hand.

I cut a thin piece of wood for my bottom.

Now use your hot glue and E6000 to stick the frames together to make your box. It's easier to do this one side at a time.

Once you have them all glued together let the E6000 dry really well.

I didn't remove the picture frame stands so once it was all glued together I tipped it over and glued the corners of the stands together like this.

Once they are glued, use your wood or cardboard and more glue and push it down to the stands.

Note: this is why the wood can’t be too thick

Then I painted and glued inside so we have a covered bottom.

It should look like this from the inside. You could paint inside if you like but I just added flowers to cover it up. The picture frame stands help hold flowers up nicely. If you wanted to add real flowers, you could add a glass vase with water inside.

I added some lavender and boxwood inside of mine.

Add photos on each side or a poem.

You could add a nice quote too.

I love the way it turned out. This would be great for any office to fill with pens too, or just as decor on any shelf.

Great idea and creative. Like the idea of clips to hold photos. Easily can be changed out if one chooses. Good share! Mom will love it.
