Pen Display Box Decor Piece

The gift for someone who has everything, a special pen with a display box! This display box is really easy to put together and only costs a couple of dollars in materials. We grabbed a box at a yard sale, but you can get these cute trinket boxes almost anywhere.

I made this for a friend who absolutely loves winter and deer, and everything to do with the holidays - so it became like a festive little gift.

You can use whatever fabric your friend likes. For instance, you could use Disney fabric if that's what they love, cammo if they're into hunting, etc...

You can also match the fabric to the unique themed pen gift that you give them.

Materials

  • Decorative box
  • A fat quarter of fabric
  • 1/2 inch foam
  • Rubber cement or other fast set glue
  • Measuring and cuttin tools

Step 1

Cut 2 pieces of foam, one to fit inside the bottom of the box and one to fit inside the top of the box.

Step 2

Cut the material so that it will completely wrap around the foam (like wrapping a Christmas gift) and cut one slit in the center of the foam as long as the pen, for each pen you wish to display in the box.

Step 3

Place the fabric wrong side up, place the foam slit-side down and glue the fabric to the foam.

Step 4

Glue the foam wrapped fabric into the box.

Step 5

Place the pens into the slits we had previously cut into the foam, pressing them down into the fabric.

Step 6

Gift it to your friend!
