I watched several videos to get my inspiration. Goodwill here I come.

I used extra fabric from another project. You will need cup/ saucer(use warm soapy water to wash glass), 6000 glue, hot glue gun, needle and thread, embellishments, fiber fill, old knee hi stocking, marker and plates to use for template.

I had lots of embellishments on hand.

Fiber fill, old knee high stocking

Plates to measure circle. Make circle about 2.5 inches larger then rim of cup.

Add fiberfill to hose shaping in a ball. Check to see if it’s enough to work with cup. Tie in knot.

Sew circular area around the fabric. You will pull this together to form top.

Formed fiber ball.

This is what top should look like.

Add the hose to center of gathered fabric. Pull taunt and tie off. (Pic above shows how it will look)Next hot glue the ball to cup pushing down to form the spere. Remember hot glue dries quickly so you will need to work fast.

Next use 6000 glue to attach cup to saucer. Let dry overnight.

Finally have fun decorating your work. I used hat pins with beads on top—- as I am giving these as gifts.

You could also use just cup for project. Have fun! Happy Crafting.
