Pottery Barn Bead Dupe
Just a girl over here flipping through the
Pottery Barn catalog and drooling over everything, especially the sea glass beaded rope, but that ain't gonna happen because, we’ll $99. So yeah, I made a dupe, sure they may not be exact and they may not even last till next year, but ya know what? They probably won't be the decor du jour next year either, another reason I cringe at $99
Here they are, and the video at the end shows them styled in my entryway. Here’s the step by step on how I made them.
I used four packs of ping pong balls
This rope from the dollar store
Matte blue and frosted glass spray paints
Wooden beads from the craft store and some fishing line
First I poked a hole in the top and bottom of each ping pong ball
I propped each ball on a toothpick and put them all in a piece of styrofoam
Took them outside and gave them 2 coats of spray paint, letting each dry in between and finished with a coat of the frosted glass
I then strung them on the fishing line putting a wood bead in between each ping pong ball
At the ends I made tassels with a 10 inch piece of rope folded in half and fringed out with a comb as shown in the next video
Take a small piece of the fringed rope and tie the tassel pieces together where you folded it to keep it in tact
And here’s how it looks styled in my home! They’d look great in yours too!

Thanks! It’s the best to recreate and save all that money right?
