It depends on the layout of the room...but you should probably put it somewhere that it will not be in the way...out of the lane of traffic, not blocking another piece of furniture, etc. If the room is very small, you might be better off with a hanging mirror that does not take up floor space...maybe on a closet door or behind the bedroom door.
Maybe put it in a corner space.

I agree with Michele - I hung my mirror on the back of the bedroom door. I really like it there.

If the layout of the room allows, place where you have the best light source so you can actually see yourself.

Either a corner, behind a door, or next to/above your dresser.
If the closet has space, move clothes aside and place it toward the back so that it's convenient to ck yourself out after dressing.
i have mine next to dresser ,you can see it when entering and the image of mirrror you see my chandelier . Put pretty decorated boxes on floor in front of it.
