I use this for all my chalkboards. I use whatever spray paint I have around for a primer and then 2 coats of this chalkboard paint. Best price I've found is
Wal-mart (US).

I used this in our back room of a Hotel that I was overseeing. It was great for the staff to know of our daily stats/revenue. Our online comment stats were posted, upcoming Hotel events, group arrivals, inspirational quotes, "high 5's" from staff to staff. This was a fun project. One thing this wall had was a round plastic adhered door stop. And emoji was drawn to let others know of the GM's (my) mood of the day. We had such fun with this!
Works great! Used it on some cookie sheets for entertaining the grand kids on a road trip.
