Hi! One is an actual headboard that makes a statement. They aren't hard to build, and a "temporary" one I built years ago, is still in use, and I still like it! If you want a simple look, you can use the headboard or the wall as your statement through color, texture, etc. In our old home, I had a gallery of artwork and family photos that were meaningful to me. Now I have a simpler look, with a small gallery of my husband, granddaughter and my children that I look at every single day. It's my gratitude wall. What is the look you want? My only rule about things over the bed is nothing that will hurt us if it comes off the wall! Stay safe!
