Get a Command Hook, then you can take it down when you no longer need to hand something. I use them indoors and outside too. -

LOOP-DE-LOOP Choose your hanging material - cord, yarn, rope, wire, etc. You need to cut 2 pieces long enough (doubled) to allow the wreath to hang as low as you want - depending on the size of the door & the wreath - probably about 5-6 ft total each. Attach (tie) both loose ends of each piece to the top center of the wreath, forming loops. Slip the loops over the top corners of the door. The ties stay attached to the wreath, or they can easily be replaced with some other material, or just removed. -

I use reef over door hooks. Get plain one to use all yr. & I use them in house to. -

You can buy sturdy metal hangers that hook over the door and have a hook on the other end for hanging your decoration. You can find them at the dollar store.
