Given the small stool, this is a ladies vanity, not a desk. Look at the center section between the two upper drawers. This section lifts up and will probably reveal a mirror (or did). Look for these at auction houses (physical and on-line), thrift houses and estate sales. I am not good with years on such pieces but you don't see many produced after the 1950s, so that would be a starting point to go backwards from.
To clarify, There are more modern versions available, but most do not have the lift up mirror.
