I use those cardboard rolls for storing my Christmas string lights. Tape one end inside of the tube and then wrap the lights around the tube and tuck the other end of the lights in when I get to the other end of the tube. Easy to test the lights the next year and keeps then neat and organized.

Hi, Check on Youtube they have many different videos of crafts you can make with cardboard tubes. Hope this helps.

  • I have had these and I cut down 4 to all the same length, then wrapped in fabric, using glue to hold it in place and then used them as legs for a makeshift plant stand with a tray on top.

Nothing very crafty but I have seen these used as a way to hide cables under or behind a desk. Cut them to the length needed, paint them the same color as the wall or desk and run the cords thru them and adhere them to the desk or wedge them in behind. You could also paint them in a bright or accent color or put fabric around them to make them more fun.

I have used mine to make floral bouquets for my Etsy customers. I make at the bouquet with the stems rather thick to fit inside the tube. Once it fits snugly, I drizzle glue inside the tubing and quickly put the flowers inside. Then I wrapped the tubing with satin, lace, ribbon, bowling, pearls, whatever you like. They are beautiful for brides and bridal parties but also just to lay on a shelf or coffee table.

This isn't a "crafty" idea, but I use them to roll up table cloths for storage as it limits the creases.

I recently saw a great idea on how to make columns out of card board tubes. They cut pool noodles in half long ways and glued them onto the cardboard tube in a twisting pattern, added a piece of wood to the top and bottom, then spray painted the column.

  • You can paint them as snowmen or Santas for Christmas decor.
