You certainly want your sauna/changing room to be soothing, but not cold and gray. My go-to colors are blue and turquoise so I would suggest blue tiles in the sauna, from the seat down, with turquoise and white tiles to the ceiling. In the changing room, Wood-clad or plastic benches with microfiber cushions, mixing turquoise, aqua and white, with a sunrise poster or motivational plaques on the walls. I would like a tall stack of towels, another of smaller towels, and a basket of lotions, oils, and other toiletries, with a nice shower built in, also. And a basket for wet towels, just like at the gym. ☺️
I've only seen cedar lined saunas with slat benches, and a heating element with rocks on top to splash water on. You don't want anything that can heat up like nails, tile or plastics in a sauna.... burns.
Do you mean sauna, such as a hot steam enclosed room,? or a spa, as in yoga or relaxation room? I think some Hometalkers might be confusing the two.
