in a frame that is sturdy enough for an eye hook so you can hang using a Christmas wire hanger. keep the frames the same size and style. or.. you could also make a shadow box type frame it's a bit deeper ....and display 9 or so ornaments at a time. if you are not into tools, hammers etc. thrift store wooden serving tray with raised edges, painted out, hanger on the back, and space to put hanging hardware. or fishing line and push pins in the ceiling to hang them with- you don't really see the fish line- just the ornaments. or straight pins- as in sewing- pushed into the wall- not at a 45 degree angle- one a bit steeper. what method you use will depend on how heavy the ornament is.

Perhaps in a wreath, you can attach the ornaments with wire or to styrofoam with hot glue.

What about a coffee mug tree.

A grapevine swag or wreath would be nice. You can either tie or wire the ornaments on.

How about a special tree just for them . You could paint it on the wall and hang ornaments with small hooks. You could also hang them from a fairly large plant, I think a floor plant would work best. What a great mom you are. I know your kids feel special!

When my mother in law downsized and got rid of her tree she gave me all of her ornaments. In going through them I felt there were so many that must be quite special. I got a tomato cage and stuffed it with newspaper. With a hot gun I glued the special ornaments to this table top 'tree" of all the ornaments she collected along the way. She absolutely LOVED it, and until the day she passed, I know it was one of the favourite things that she possessed.
