I make nylon flowers out of old colored sheer pantyhose, not tights. They have to be sheer.

How about contacting manufacturers/suppliers of pantyhose? You may be able to buy their off cuts (or whatever you'd call errant tights/pantyhose, lol). It's a long shot but many, many moons ago I had an aunt who worked in a factory that made tights, stockings in many, many colors. I used to have the most fabulously colored legs!
I care for a elder and she buys sheer pantyhose stockings in pink grey black and other weird colors thru those old lady catalogs like bryant and I can't really remember the other since she gets so many and I'm not with her at the moment hope your searching goes easier
How about buying fabric.... there are many stretch sheer fabrics used for skater and dance wear. Its usually 63" wide so a yard would be huge.
