Here's four: Take a walk through an area with trees, branches, berries, ine cones, shells, whatever natures offers you in your neck of the woods and make a centerpiece or arrangement in a bowl. Or you can grab some spices from your pantry and make a deliciously scented simmering or dry potpourri. Or you can prepare for a new year by sorting through and organizing your closets, files, pantry, recipes, fridge, medicine cabinet, emergency food box, etc. You have until December 31st to donate items to a charity and get a tax deduction. Or you can check the batteries in your smoke alarm, your carbon monoxide alarm, make sure you have spare keys hidden for your car, house and garage, use scrap wood to create blocks to keep windows from being opened by burglars and make sure your gutters are clean before the snow comes and melts and makes a mess on your roof.
