Frozen treat sticks...creative uses anyone??

I have been saving these frozen treat sticks thinking that I would find a creative way to use them. My children are grown and I don't grow plants so I need to use them in a decorative way. Any ideas out there? They are 3 1/2" wood.

My first thought is to use them as plant markers. Another idea would be to use them as a type of sunburst clock or mirror decoration. Here is a link to a clock that was decorated with plastic spoons. I am sure you would be able to adjust the directions to use your spoons. If you spray painted them first they could be awesome. http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/walls/make-a-chrysanthemum-clock-from-plastic-spoons-1725681

My friend uses them to make cute gift pins ie: santa, penguin, sunglasses, place cards for your table . Use your imagination, buy some broach or safety pins, some good glue and whip up a bunch for your next gathering.

Use the small pumpkins. Cut one end of the stick to make a point. Paint the sticks different colors. Stick the pointed end into the pumpkin. One stick is made into the face. Add a small scarf and you have a turkey for individual place name tags for the dinner table or around the house

I used them to make DIY pirate theme party invitations. I glued 2 together in a wide "X" shape and painted them black and mounted them on cards then painted a rough free-hand skull above. I even used the same for an adult pirates and scoundrels Halloween Party.

You can also just use the for frozen treats. I freeze Cranberry Grape juice in ice cube trays and stick them in them. I recently bought some actual popsicle molds, so will probably use them instead. You can also make simple boxes with them by glueing the corners and stacking them, great for holding things like pens, scissors, etc. You could also make wooden flowers as someone else recommended to decorate the boxes, paint them to add some color.

If you use an old fashioned peg type clothes pins, and a bit of paint you could glue two sticks one near the top ( closed end) and one in the middle you could make a dragonfly ornament. Or you could also take two sticks and glue them near the closed end of an old fashioned clothes peg one above the other and paint them to make a biplane ornament

I used popsicle style craft sticks with paint stir sticks to make pallet style signage for my laundry room makeover. The cool shape of your sticks would be great for signs, drivers, etc. Of the ideas previous to mine, the dragonfly sounds best. Well I say make dragonflies and flowers then arrange in a shadowbox or something of that sort!

Glue them to ready made bird houses to make them look like old fashion siding.
