it's a little late now for real pomander oranges - but you can still make them the 'easy' way -- http://www.simplebites.net/how-to-make-spiced-orange-pomander-balls/ won't last, but for the holidays they're lovely ... Apples you can tie green ribbons around and pin in place with little decorative pins --- again, they won't last ( no at long as the oranges ) or you could try a bit of glue to adhere the ribbon ( pins will make a hole in the skin that leads the apple deteriorating more quickly; Artichokes are also lovely at Christmas -- just put little ( TINY TINY ) balls on the outer leaves ... or glitter, or, or, or... and lemons make lovely ornaments too.
When selecting ribbons or other items to add to fruit/veggies -- pick an appropriate size ....
