Hi Dannielle. I'm Cindy. You can still use those small frames, just not by themselves. I painted a very large box right on the wall. I made a collage with all different sizes of frames. I used stencils and wrote "Family is Forever" on the wall. I did the box and the writing in black paint. It made quite a statement. And I was very happy with results. You could do the same thing. Make a frame and put all of you family photos in it. Good luck Dannielle. ps. Arrange your pictures on the floor before putting them on wall.
If you want to keep the original frames for your 5x7s, my suggestion is to hit the dollar store and find some frames that have similar width (can be wooden or plastic) in the larger sizes. Paint the cheaper frames a uniform color. Add art from calendars because sizing tends to work for 8x10 or 10x13 and usually it is the cheapest way to get multiple pictures in same size in your theme (landscapes or art reprints or whatever). You can then make a wall collage with your family photos and your art that use up that space in balance.
You can incorporate some other things like a large initial or a wreath and make a nice gallery wall with the pictures and those items.
