How can I hide outside trash cans from view?

When you come up our driveway the first thing you see is our garbage cans because this is the best place (most convenient) to put them. What do you suggest we do to hide them?

We put in 4 x 4 posts with 2 x 4's between them, then added plastic lattice to make a fence around our garbage cans. We made the front a gate so we could remove the cans on trash day. I like the plastic lattice because it lasts forever (wood lattice breaks down too quickly) and the color choices were nice. If you want, you could plant flowers on the outside of your fence or even hang window boxes on the two sides of the fenced-in area, but we were happy with just the lattice.

what about building an outdoor box and decorate like a birdhouse or whatever. Doors in front to open and perhaps top flips up (on a hinge) as well for easy access throughout the week. High enough for a cart to put the cans on to pull them down the lane.

You can make a simple "fence like" structure from old pallets. The more rustic the better. Simple to attach at the corners and the door is created by another pallet on hinges. Can be stained, painted, or left natural. Super easy and super cheap.

I had the same problem and I put a structure around it and made it large enough to put all my lawn products, brooms and dustpands in it too.
