    Use flat sheets...

It's a great idea! Use a fabric or a flat sheet that you like. Get a small grommet kit from amazon or your local craft store to make holes in the top. Then you can use shower hooks. You will need a plastic shower liner to make it waterproof on the inside.

  • Here are a couple links to get you started. I have used flat sheets and random fabric and purchase the "hotel style" liners for the inside portion. Have fun!

I made a shower curtain for my vintage blue bathroom using my old one as a pattern. I laid my fabric out on the floor so I could measure the width and length, according to the old shower curtain. I added extra length because I wanted mine to reach the floor. I wanted a valance, so I cut a piece of fabric the length I wanted the valance to be. I used fringe trim that I already had on the valance. All sewing consisted of straight lines! I placed my vinyl liner on my new shower curtain and used a marker to line up the holes in the liner with the grommets to be inserted in the shower curtain. You could also make it from a sheet that matches your bedroom sheets for a coordinated look.

simply cut your fabric the same size as your shower curtain (if you have one at all) but add some for hemming... u can either get a grommet kit (or make loops for it to slide on the shower rod - not sure what you need - your question is a little vague

Double bed sheets work just fine. You can hang on a tension rod thru top edge casing or make buttonholes for regular shower hooks. Edge slit with embroidery thread. Hem to about 72 inches.

I dont use a liner at all, just wash it monthly with the regular regular laundry.

not what i was looking for BUT: can you put anything on the inside of a shower curtain to keep the soap scum from sticking to it so easily?
