How can I repurpose a pot rack into a light fixture?

I have a 2-layer hanging pot rack that I want to repurpose into a light fixture above my dining room table. The two layers can come apart, if I use only one, I'll find a way to use the other in my kitchen (currently I wouldn't be able to because of the ceiling fan). The overhead fixture that is in the dining room currently is not centered lengthwise. If I use the potrack and run wiring for lights, then it will hang centered (dual support for the hanging rack).
I am not sure how to run the wiring where I will have e multiple light hanging. I also am planning on using the old-fashioned lights. My home was built around the turn of the last century.

Thank you. Mine has stationary hooks which aim upwards. I'm not sure how to adjust it for mine, but my creative juices are flowing!!!
