get a Christmas tablecloth from the dollar store - they have plastic ones that won't tear too easily -

Not sure what you want to know about large presents. However, you can buy large Xmas designed plastic bags into which you can put bicycles, giant teddy bears, etc. one year I gave my mother a piece of string that she had to follow all thru the house, put on a coat and follow it outside until she found her present, a concrete deer for her yard.
