How do decorate a wall with thermostat in the middle?
I should have said this is in my kitchen.
The wall measures 6ft 2in wide with a pantry door on one side and hall entrance on the other. I have struggled with this wall forever!

Do a gallery wall around it
Make it a gallery wall and put a frame around it.
As Ann suggested, make a gallery wall of several photos/art pieces. You could find a hinged shallow box, decorate it and cut out the back and attach to the wall. Then just open the box when you want to reset your thermostat. It will look like a part of the decorative gallery wall.
A few shelves offset on the wall with one under the thermostat. Place anything you want on the shelves as long as air flow is not blocked. Hang a few framed pictures or photos around.
Hello. A photograph might be helpful do you know the size of the wall you are speaking about. I think a large art piece with a impressive frame can often take away from the eyesore of thermostats.
When I talked to my HVAC guy, he said to make sure you have a clear and unobstructed airflow path to the thermostat. I put a larger shelf around one and put small faux succulents on it. It detracts from the thermostat so that you don't notice it.
In my hallway, I did a gallery wall with photos around it so that it blends in.
A leaning mirror.
A canvas type print could hide it.
Blanket ladder.
You can hang something over the thermostat like a picture with a hollow backing.
Eather ignore it or paint it to match
The question was not resolved.
