How do I artfully cover up a electrical panel box?

I have an electrical panel box in my living room. It was placed there as this room was the closest to the electrical pole and therefore the cost of placing it elsewhere was reduced. However, it is an eyesore in my living room. Can you advise on how to cover-u/camouflage this eyesore please?

I have the same problem in a room I’m updating now. I plan to make a mini sliding barn door with old shutters to cover it up. A lighter and less involved option would be something like using a blank stretched canvas for painting pictures. You could paint colors on it to match your room, or decoupage a coordinating fabric over the canvas, or I’ve seen people print out poster sized prints of family members and decoupage that to the canvas. The canvas would be light enough to move when access to the box was needed. The canvasses come in all sizes. I hope that helps!
Hi Pat. You can hang a picture over it or put a decorative hinged door over it (like a cabinet door or shutter).
I just hung a canvas painting on stretchers over mine in the kitchen.
