How do I cut old CDs so that I get a 'clean' edge.?

I have an idea for making ornaments from old CDs, but when I cut one the
edges were raggy/sprintered looking.

try scoring them with a glass cutter first. Or try putting then in the freezer for an hour and then break them.

Use a metal file to file the rough spots.
