How do I fill this wall?

You could cover the speakers and still use them but hanging pretty fabric stretched over frames over them - think artwork that sound can still get through. Then Center the love seat between them. Maybe an end table on either side of the loveseat with a lamp? How about a big square coffee table with storage for toys.

I would move the media center to where the loveseat is and put the loveseat where the media center is, this would give you better air flow and less chance of damage to the TV.

Cover the 2 wall speakers with a light weight fabric.

I would put a large Mirror over the Sofa and 2 x Large identical sized Colourful Pictures either side of Sofa to balance it up and give the room Light Bright and Interesting look. It will look good with or without the children's toys. Take colour pallet from toys for Pictures.

Hope you get what you are looking for. I would also add in a Bright Cushion or two (Plain colour).

Jena Lynn: Oh! This would be SO much fun! I would get two large, (simple) pieces of artwork -- to cover those speakers! Maybe something like this:

Then I would get something simple... in a horizontal format for over the loveseat... that would tie in the the colors of the two other pieces. Maybe something like this:

For the wall, since this is not a formal room, I'd go with colorful posters that appeal to all ages. Get something green in that corner by the window (not necessarily live) even if you have to use a hanging basket. With a growing family, keep it simple because you'll be changing it out fairly soon!

What a wonderful room--the color & size is great! Only going by what I see in the pictures, here are some suggestions for lay-out & decor...

1. Paint those speakers in the same paint as the wall and they won't be as noticeable.
2. Move the tv and console to where the loveseat is now. Mount the tv on the wall (Center it between those 2 speakers and hang about 12 inches above the console) and use cord covers (paint them to match wall) to hide the tv wires if needed.
3. Move the loveseat to the right side of the sofa, so that it faces the tv wall.
4. Add 2 end tables (larger than the one beside loveseat) to anchor the upholstery and to have a place for lamps, drinks, etc
5. Remove the 3 pictures from the stair wall and hang them vertically on wall on left side of the sofa behind end table
6. Find a large decorative storage basket or box (spray paint or cover sturdy cardboard one using an accent navy print fabric). Place it beside fireplace or out of the way behind the loveseat to use for toy storage.

For quick inexpensive wall art, get 2 large 24"h x 36"w artist canvases & drip/blob some wall color paint (or lighter) over the canvas, and then pour some navy paint on top of it---smush a large garbage bag over wet canvas and sit the baby on top of plastic garbage bag, move baby around a bit then lift baby up. Lift off garbage bag. Let dry...Art! Do the same with the other one---it's a mess so do it outside. Hang one canvas on the wall to left side of tv & lean the other one on a wall ledge under it--or hang it directly under the other. Add a couple of floor pillows to the left side area in front of the tv for baby-playing & lounging. Really need to see the entire room but hope this helps. Good luck!

I'd do a gallery wall!

We have heat registers along the baseboard like yours. We have been advised not to put a TV in front of them....gets too hot. If you want to hang your TV on the wall, check to see how hot it gets above the heat registers. If too hot, I would leave your love seat there. Would like to see other pictures of your room.

Amazon sells clock kits. I have one and they are great because you can vary the size (and they are big and take up most of a wall over a sofa). But you customize the exact size based on the size of wall you are working with. Just do a search to wall clocks.

If you painted the registers in the wall the same color as the wall they would blend in more.

I would make some sort of storage to put all the toys up. A bench would provide seating as well as storage under the seat.

Add some color in the forms of pictures (art not photographs) over the couch as the room needs some color.

I would also get a slip cover for the couch. With kids it would be easier to throw that in the washer every week then trying to clean a couch. Please you could change the look with a slip cover in a different color.

An area rug would look good. I know you already have carpeting but an area rug on top of that would define your area more and provide color too.

Paint the speakers so they don't stand out if you don't want to remove them. I would add a large clock or other large decor item. You could put a shelf under each speaker and add items like candles.
