Simple way is to buy a frame the same size and put it on the wall around the mirror. You can attach it in a lot of ways. Glue, double sided tape, picture hangers (my favorite)
Get a piece of thin plywood and cut it 2" wider and 2" taller than your mirror. Go to a glass store and get the special glue for mirrors (liquid nails will bleed through on mirrors). Glue the mirror to the board, then trim out the sides with sea shells, shiny marbles, buttons, decoupage pictures, or whatever!
You do not say if the mirror is attached to the wall already. If so, purchase some moulding and either mitre the corner or cut them straight and glue them to the wall after you have primed and painted the pieces.
Hubby just cut some trim, ran it around the outside of the mirror and used tiny brads to put it in place.
If the mirror is unframed, you may be able to paint a pretty stencil around it. It's a fairly easy project, and easy to change.
Good luck!
