How do you hang glass platters on a wall?
I have collected glass art pieces and have seen pictures where they are installed on a wall with track lighting shining on them. Normal plate hangers are not strong enough to hold these pieces because the glass pieces are heavy. Any suggestions are welcome.

Good morning,
Lucky for you to have what sounds to be such beautiful items for display!
I would suggest going to a local well reviewed respectable frame shop. They can provide you with ideas to safely and securely hang your art pieces.
You'll need to put on plate shelves then.
You can use a shelf made for displaying plates that hangs on the wall. Below is a link for one from Amazon.

I would suggest making plate rails for your glass art pieces since they are too heavy for the plate hangers. The will look like floating shelves, but will have an edge on the front, maybe even the sides to hold the pieces at a slight angle on the bottom. You could make one shelf, or you could custom make them for each piece by size if you don't want them all in one row. I hope this helps you!
If you mount a floating shelf on the wall first, as the mounting hardware is hidden, your art items will be featured, not the shelf. Be sure to get the kind of shelf that has a lip or edge, as it will hold the platters in place, preventing them from sliding off. Your collection can be switched out easily according to seasons without ever having to make more holes in the wall.
