Can you share a photo - it will help with ideas for you! :)
Hello. Could you post a photograph of your mirror so we can view the size and room position. A decorative mirror versus a bathroom mirror might have different solutions.
What kind of frame is on it now? Is it wood? You could paint it a different color. Or - go to thrift stores and find picture frames or mirrors that have a great texture frame on them, paint them, and add them to your mirror instead.
You can build a simple frame for it. I did for a builder grade bathroom mirror without having to make any cuts. (I had some molding cut for me at Home Depot): https://momhomeguide.com/diy-bathroom-mirror-one-room-challenge-week-4/
You could also have a simple frame made for your mirror by ordering online and sending in your mirror's measurements: https://momhomeguide.com/how-install-mirrorchic-bathroom-mirror-frame/
If it has a frame, rub and buff gold paint gives a gorgeous finish.
Depending on the frame, you could paint it in a silver color or you could buy glass beads and glue them onto the frame, like they did on this pin. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/415738609322424637/ They've used blue beads, but clear would be very glamorous.
Hi! Updating the frame and adding makeup lighting would be my first thought!
Add a painted stencil to it
