How to make a carrier for can and bottle returns for a child?

We live in Massachusetts, nickle for every bottle or can brought to a recycle center. In Oregon it is a dime and the lines are out the door in that state people waiting to get pocket change. It's a good way to start a little one, I had a paper route and baby sat when I was older, that doesn't happen much anymore.

We have deposits on all sorts of bottles and cans. I don't use many of those products, but if one does, you can get a chunk of change back over time. My brother had a paper route and I baby sat for $1 an hour and had 5 kids!!! Babysitting going rate is about $20 an hour for 2 kids and additional children the price goes up . . .

It's difficult in this atmosphere of not working towards a goal even if waiting means the next day. She is only four but,,,,with enough explanation she should divide or earnings into a understandable today, tomorrow, and play it forward in some some way (red kettles). it's a work in progress.
