Depending on how clearly you want to define the sections, you can use furniture, room dividers, or curtains.
For example, defining the dining area from the living area in an open concept could be achieved by placing a sofa to create a virtual wall.
In a shared bedroom, a free standing changing screen can serve as a privacy method as well as defining each occupant's space. Hanging a curtain or quilt or other material can serve this purpose as well.
Bookcases or large pieces of furniture can sometimes work but keep in mind the back side is normally unfinished so you might want to add removable wallpaper or some other backing.

You can use old shutters from a house or you can buy shutter panels and hinges and make your own. Also they do make doors like shutters that can be used also . Could use an old door also .
