They sell frosted glass spray paint from brands like Krylon that you can spray right on. They also sell stick on window film in frosted glass.
You can also use Gallery Glass. That's what I used on my sidelights at the front entry door.
Rustoleum makes a Frost spray paint.

I purchased window cling/film from Walmart. Their prices and amount per roll was the best rate I could find. I did my entire storm door top n bottom with some extra to do a small window.
Gallery glass paint crystal clear. I did my side panels on my front door and love it. It lets in light, but distorts the views from outside in.
I find that Gallery Glass works great and I have used it in various others. It comes in opague as well as colors
